They are quite used to having QBs run out on them

Hope he doesn't go there and then kick our arse.

I expect, though, he will attend a school in PAC 12 territory. Maybe so.

Just checking out other msg boards, its funny how these other fanbases think bringing him in will create competition. Just based on these recent developments, I don't think his next destination will be chosen based on competition.

Sumlin has been known to make promises to his QB recruits, which is why I think they would be a serious contender, especially with the current QB in his final season of eligibility. Oregon just turned to a True Freshman at QB. The guy is also a local kid from Eugene, so I seriously doubt they will be a viable destination for Barnett.

Look for A&M, Cal, and Washington to be the primary suitors for the kid, IMO. I am sure he is confident in his abilities to compete with anyone, but this next move has to be extremely calculated.

Going to A&M also makes it clear that he is not scared of playing in the SEC or facing off against Alabama, so Sumlin also has that working in his favor.

I hope he stays out of the SEC as I don't want to see him

Let him go to A&M, he's a pocket passer and they aren't exactly flush with O-line depth.

Would love to face him in a couple years wonder if Sumlin will still be at A&M by then?

Why not? He didn't handle pressure well and he is very susceptible to falling apart when put under heavyt amounts of it.

tamu likes a super mobile QB right? He does not fit this from what I have seen. My guess is he is insurance since they lost a few last year

Yeah, because quarterbacks never improve after their first nineteen pass attempts in college.

The guy has serious talent and will only improve. I wish you guys would stop being so butthurt about the transfer. It's trashy.

No doubt he's going to be good somewhere.

Huh? I'm not butthurt about anything. I'm just saying you guys predicting him to be Joe Montana in his prime should probably pump the brakes a little.

I remember hearing that this loophole he is exploiting will allow him to play 12 months from Alabamas release.
Is this correct, and has Alabama officially released him?

He is enrolled in a JUCO which will allow him to enroll in any FBS school next fall. He will be eligible to play on or after October 1st.
