the Boom become our next DC?

For me it would be if Boom were hired since he has been known to embarrass himself by his temper.

For me I hope it is Mel Tucker getting the promotion but I would settle for Pruitt.

I don't want Boom because he will jump for the first head coaching job that comes up. I'd hate to have another DC hunt next year.

i just dont see Boom being a hot commodity as a HC with his temper issues. I may be wrong but if SC was going to have hired him why are they saying that Willie Tagger has been interviewed?

Tempers like his dont see to work with this younger crowd and their parents

Dont want either so i guess id have to melt harder at Boom. His personality seems corrosive. I never cared for the way Chiz looks or talks like a slack jawed inbreed but he never did any particular to anger me. I just knew he was a terrible head coach and was only hired to be their puppet.

I think CNS will find some one else.

Boom is the better hire; but for me personally, I'd rather have Chiz.

Boom is such a f'ing tool on the sidelines. That shite looks ridiculous. He needs to grow up.

I dont think Boom will be at Bama as he is looking to be a HC, but I dont see it happening unless it is to a smaller P5 school.

I'd take Boom by far between the two. Chizik's tampa 2 style doesn't fit with Saban, you'd have to change recruiting philosophies and everything. Smaller LBs? No thank you.

I'll take Pruitt far and away over anyone else that could become the DC(sans Kirby getting fired a week into his UGA tenure). Runs the same system, has experience calling that defense, and is a great recruiter.

I don't like what Pruitt did on the way out, but I understand what's best for business...

we will know Sunday as KS will probably be announced and we will know Pruitts status soon. But KS is still going to coach through playoffs should we make it. If this process goes long then it may be Tuckers

No Auburn head coach would ever be an Alabama assistant. The universe would implode

Chiz has been a big part of UNC's success this year; I think Bama will pursue him.

he made his money from AU. He has no more loyalties to them. He may want to pay them back so to speak by being our DC if he has that choice. He has a good gig at UNC and may become a HC soon. I would hire him at USCjr before I hired Boom. ONe has a natty and can control his emotions the other has no natty as a HC

I'd be fine w either. Boom seems unlikely as I can't see Bama/AU in a bidding war. I don't think we'd get involved unless it was a completely lateral move, even on salary, he's already the highest paid in CFB.

Chiz doesn't directly fit the Saban style, but neither did Kiffin on offense. Coordinators can be molded, and these are professionals, not guys hung on ideology

Young coordinators, not veteran DCs with existing and successful schemes.

This offense is the same Kiffin has always ran, Saban just holds the reigns. It fit Saban's ideology enough to hire because he ran a WCO.

You're not gonna tell someone to forget years of what he has perfected. Dogs can only learn a certain amount of tricks.
