I am trying to think of the last time that both our offense and defense looked competent against good competition. 2013 LSU maybe?

aTm was coming into our game with a two game losing streak. TAMU also did not have a good defense. Before tonight's game, UGA was considered to have both a good offense and a good defense.

Easy to forget that the 2013 LSU game was 17-17 at one point. I think this was the most complete, end to end win over a quality opponent since Notre Dame in the 2012 season.

We went 1 for 12 on third downs. Since when is that good offense?

I think some perspective is needed. I guess we've been so bad on offense this year, when we don't completely suck we're not playing the best .

We were amazing defensively and on special teams. On offense we game managed. If we were amazing there we would have put up 60.

We also practically kneeled the entire fourth quarter. Had we called decent plays in the fourth quarter, the offense would have been much better. We just continued to run a vanilla offense as if we were mercifully ending a game against Western Carolina.

A lot of sloppy errors. A delay of game after a punt? Lining up with 5 men in the backfield? Motion penalties? Don't mean to be a Debbie downer but they do have some stuff to work on. But it was a great win!

Was a good win. Doesn't mean we're GOAT any more than the Ole Miss loss meant we were falling apart.

It was a must win and we got it done. Still got lots of work to do. This does not resemble a championship team yet. I'd like to see a more dominant running game and better QB play . . Coker is still late.

What about the conditions there at the end. I think some of that was Kiffen and Saban trying to play it safe and not get anyone hurt.

You know this isn't true. We were throwing deep and even put in a bootleg play to throw off their crashing DE. There was nothing vanilla about our offense till we pulled Henry out.

I think it the euphoria of this win, some reason needs to be had. Our offense was inconsistent. Coker (as I said after Ole Miss) is our QB, however he has many shortcomings; his balls are late, he stares down, balls short/behind. However, we seemed to take a big step forward in using him like McElroy instead of like Sims or AJ. That is how we will get the most out of him.

It was a good day, but let's not make it more than what it was. If we do that, we put ourselves on mental roller coaster week to week.

How doesn't it? That defense is proving to be one of the best we've had below the 2011 one of course.

It just makes me laugh at the people saying we didn't have a secondary after Wisconsin and Ole Miss.

This defense is a championship defense. If we can keep special teams running efficiently and keep the turnovers down on offense while managing Coker... why can't one consider this championship caliber??

despite my, sky is falling, attitude, after the ole miss debacle. yesterday was a huge step forward for the offense. actually, im very proud of the guys for regaining some intestinal fortitude to dominate.

when they showed the ga fans leaving it was beautiful. especially since i live here in ga,RTR

great game, but still room for improvements. Good to see Coker get some confidence and throw some nice strikes downfield. I was a bit up there in the stands, but it looked like our WR had a couple other chances to lay out for deep balls and probably would have in a closer game. Still lots of work to do and we need to be afraid of regression, but a tough schedule will hopefully keep the team focused and maybe Saban can use this game as a "see what you can do when you play with confidence and focus". to many penalties though, and some definite dropped pics for their team, early fumble, chubb score are all things that can be used this week in practice. Very excited to see what we do in the gauntlet over the next 5/6 weeks

Whatever dude, I think our offense played fine. Like someone else said, we played so fricking vanilla the whole second half basically, even if we weren't running every single play.

I genuinely believe that Coker and our offense turned a corner on Saturday.
