Tuscaloosa's own Deontay Wilder fights for the WBC Heavyweight belt tomorrow night. He is poised to be the next great American heavyweight and he resides and trains in Title Town, Alabama! Great man, father and one helluva physical specimen at 6'7" & 226lbs.

His wiki page says he grew up dreaming of playing football and basketball for Bama but the birth of his daughter caused him to shift his focus to boxing. He's such a great athlete I imagine he would've been a great TE or Small Forward

He's a cocky SOB, I'll give him that.

He is but I figure that's him trying to market himself too. Very few boxers nowadays become truly famous but having a really big personality helps.

If you dont watch boxing this is about as much of a 50/50 fight you can get. Both guys have big power and both guys have some deficiencies on defense. This fight has no chance of going to the scorecards.

Anyone have a way or a website to watch the fight tonight? I'd rather not add showtime for one day.

@_DCReeves: How small of a world it is: Former WBC Champ Bermane Stiverne played football briefly at Michigan State. His head coach was Nick Saban

Can you say processed?

@_DCReeves: nterestingly, part of Wilder’s gameplan involved Stiverne’s lack of mobility in an injured left knee he hurt years ago at MSU.
