Headed to BR for the first time. Staying in NOLA. Found a service that provides luxury bus transportation on gamedays between NOLA and BR for $45 pp...$90 for two. Anyone ever use a service like this before? Does it seem like it would be worth it? Never having been before and having no knowledge of parking in BR, my thinking is that it might be a better way to go. Also, does anyone know if there would be a shuttle offered by UA for fans? TIA.

I would stay in Baton Rouge unless you are wanting to just spend some time in NOLA. Although it's probably next to impossible to book a room in BR now with the game a couple weeks away. The SEC games, and especially the Bama game, result in hotels in BR filling up quickly. I've never used a service like you mentioned but sounds like an okay deal. LSU has the best tailgating atmosphere of anywhere IMO. Just prepare for some good natured heckling from Tiger fans. LSU fans are pretty cool although, like all fan bases, they have a fringe element that's a little crazy. Other than that and the occasional drunken college student with a big mouth, you'll have a great time.

If you are staying in New Orleans do the Alabama Alumni Bus if the still have room. They just added another bus. It leaves from the Rusty Nail (Alabama Bar), etc.

Look into when they leave, I like to get around the away game atmosphere early. The bus at our hotel in Knoxville left at 12:30. We took Uber all weekend and ending up paying around $40 total, way cheaper than a cab but maybe higher than a shuttle for the distance you're going to do.
