Heard Bateman was pulled because he was concussed after the cheap shot hit by tPOS Nkemdechi.

Correct.

It wasn't a cheap shot when Dial did it to Murray and it wasn't one last night.

This. When it happened I knew someone would bitch up and make a stupid comment like this,

On the topic of the concussion though, I could definitely see that as possible though. That was a hard fricking lick.

I think they pulled him because it was clear he wasn't going to get the job done.

Coker should have been playing the entire game.

This. Bateman was awful. People seem to be forgetting he'd managed 3 points and one of the worst interceptions I've seen.

Nope.

After an INT, QB is a defender trying to make a tackle.

Nah man Bateman committed to Bama and Coker is just a transfer from the Seminoles so we can't treat them the same

Clean block, these QB's need to get their head on a swivel after they throw a pick.

Take a closer look, and you'll see that Stewart ran the wrong route.

Stewart hurt himself on the play, so much so that he couldn't make the tackle basically cause he was hopping on one leg - cramp maybe. Feel free to go back and look. That pick was not Bateman's fault. Just shite luck.

On that note, I think Bateman played pretty well. He gets the ball out faster and throws a crisper pass than Coker, and if Ole Miss' D could catch, Coker would've thrown 4 picks last night - in addition to the fatc that we go so slow with Coker that we always waste a few timeouts. Personally, I would've like to have seen Bateman run the plays called for Coker. I think Bateman played pretty mistake-free ball, but was hamstrung by play-calling and others' mistakes.

Also, no chance that Bateman had a concussion, given that he had his helmet halfway on his head, squeezing it, not a few minutes later. He did get rocked, tho.

I agree. Bateman was looking fine. Heck he drove us down to the 2 yard line only for Kiffin to call a retarded play the backed us up to the 15.

According to PS, he was not pulled because of injury.

I was in the stands on the opposite side from Stewart, so I couldn't see that. Still, did Bateman have to throw it? Not sure why everyone is pumping Bateman so much now, aside from just the run-of-the-mill "backup is always better" mindset. If he was playing so well, why did they pull him for the rest of the game? And why did the offense start moving the ball better immediately after he was benched?

Bateman was in for the read option. Bateman should have kept the ball, and he probably would have scored.

Kiffin sure thought that Steward ran the wrong route from his reaction on the play.

I didn't think that Bateman did all that bad. WTH was with all the speed sweep shite? That's not who we are and what we do.
