Sims is the starter? i really don't see him as a "pro style" kinda guy. if nick marshall can run a hunh, i'm sure sims can! we have the backs, receivers and the o-line as well to pull it off. i really don't see saban doing it myself, mainly just thinking it could work if sims is the starter!

No, not for every down. Saban loves his defenses too much to let his offense become a hurry up and score. That can potentially leave your defense out on the field too long. I can see us doing a couple of series that way, but not changing our overall offensive schemes. We will always be a ball control, TOP offense.

that's kinda how i'm leaning. i think we probably run a 2 qb offense...sims for the hunh and ? for the pro style O. of course if our pro style qb is effective, i doubt we see the true hunh offense at all.

Has Saban ever ran a two-QB offense at any school?

We saw AJ go no huddle quite a bit this year, but it was never really a hurry up version. That was more the coaches trusting AJ to make the correct adjustments when they got to the line of scrimmage.

We play ball control too much and I can't see Saban enjoying a 3 and out drive that took less than a minute of the clock.

No, not any more than we've run it in the past.

And Sims won't be the starter anyway.

Running some plays no huddle isn't "going to the HUHN" you don't go to that unless you commit to that.

I still don't see Sims taking any meaningful snaps.

Don't forget that the HUNHs are only good for a year, then the DCs figure out how to stop it and those teams don't fare as well the following year.

See: TAMU and AU after 2010 (CAM was a phenom though)

I don't think DCs have figured out how to stop it like you think they have. They stopped Auburn in 2011 because they had a shitty QB. Manziel still put up good enough numbers to be a heisman finalist with a worse OL.

Saban wont run 2 QBs. We will likely go back to our 2008-2009 style running game hopefully our O line will perform well.

Why? We met the best in the business last game and our offense and defense weren't the problem. Double digit victory if the kicking game had shown up.

I also think Nick Marshall is a better passer than Sims, but that's not saying much.

No, because Sims will not be the starter. Also, anyone heard that Saban may not be happy with Nuss?

We're not going to run the HUNH and Blake Sims won't be the starter

Thats the silliest thing ive read in a long time. A&M had the shitties defense ever.... and i think Gus's offense is still fairing pretty well running one formation pretty much all the time...
