Alphonse Taylor quote from recent article:

"From my perspective, he has improved as a passer and he did do some good things and he has some things to correct," Taylor said. "But that's the offensive unit as a whole because the offensive line could have picked up pressures better. There are things they could have done better to help him out."
"Yeah, they take it because most of the time when a fan feels some type of way about something, they're not looking at the bigger picture," he said. "They want to pick one thing and speak on that. When you really want to talk football, you can't just pick one thing. You have to look at the bigger picture."

Really, really good dude. And might be one of the best gameday follows on Twitter - Gump or otherwise. Hilarious and good info.

Is this thread supposed to prove something? This is just a generic athlete comment.

Yes, given his words and the dominant topic on this board all week, it's overtly obvious to be directed at the 'blame everything on Jalen' crowd.
My apologies if it was too obvious. I couldn't make it any more subtle.

It was rhetorical question.
What is this? One maybe two posters? Basically every one of Jalen's detractors has acknowledged the poor oline play and questionable play calling. It's a lot more common on this board to see people say Jalen is not at fault at all.
This quote from Alphonse really means nothing. He basically says football is a team game and that the offense as a whole needs to improve. Any decent teammate or former teammate is never going to call out one player.

It's like he's talking about Huddie

It's actually about that whole section of our fanbase, and for me, has been about them this whole time, whether they post here or not.

Sigh. I know that, he is like their symbolic representative here though

Agreed, this is what I've seen the most. He isn't the only shortcoming on our offense. It's game one. Hopefully, Jalen continues to progress as well as the OL.

Well you showed us. Furthermore slick, it is ok to have a differing opinion. I can promise you that. Doesn't make us a lesser Bama fan than you are.

11 of 16 games for 172 yards passing or less. In perspective, former running back blake sims only had 2 games (out of 15) where he didn't go over 208 yards passing... it's not 100% his fault, but let's not pretend jalen isn't the 2nd best rb playing qb the last 5 years.

Of course not. Everyone should say whatever they want, 100%.
But not all opinions are equal. Wrong is wrong, and stupid is stupid.

God forbid any fan should critique the play of the quarterback and have a different opinion that doesn't square with your worldview.
