against washington's defense? Also, our DB's against their deep ball? I have bama winning 23-14...washington gets a td late to make it more respectable.

Our offense should slice through them all day. Now our D vs. their deep ball is more about the pass rush than the DBs.

Not tremendously confident in the offense. We'll throw some bubble screens to set up some deep balls (which Hurts will miss on), but it will also open up the middle for the backs. Hurts will get to the edge a couple of times for nice gains. The offense will score 3-5 times.

On D, they should only be able to beat us downfield. Solid pressure on their QB will hopefully negate that and maybe produce turnovers.

So, basically like most of our other games this year.

This is off topic but the incorrect use of ellipses really grinds my gears.

Depends on whether or not Kiffin tries to establish the run and sticks to it.

This game is going to be a lot closer than we would like or think. Bama scores late to ice it. 31-16. Peterson is a brilliant tactician and will play to their strengths and our weaknesses. The only thing he can't hide from is the mismatch up front. If the refs call holding, UDub is in trouble. If they let them mug our DL, we could be in for a long, scary contest.

So your saying Peterson is a better coach then Saban and Bama will only win because they have better players?
I will take Saban any day over Peterson. Turnovers by Bama will be the only thing that keeps this game close.

Worried about their passing attack.

They're going to chip away at us with back shoulder throws and quick outs to mitigate our pass rush. They've had 4 weeks to work on the timing over and over again.

Then they'll hit us with Ross' speed with and out and up.

I'd take Washington and the points

I believe that Alabama could use a run heavy gameplan against Washington and beat them. Hurts will probably be hit or miss in any game he plays for the remainder of the season. But the run game is serious as hell and should be able to maul these guys.

Not sure I see the defense holding Washington to 7 points for most of the game. Washington will probably have some really big plays.

34-21 Alabama

Peterson could be a better gameday/X's & O's guy but that's all I the advantage I will give him in the coaching category.

I am concerned about our offense turning the ball over or starting slow this setting Washington up for cheap points. We've done that all year but fortunately we haven't played an offense that could truly cash in on those mistakes.

I don't mind playing conservative to start as long as we don't give them good field position in the process.

Very. No teams have showed that they can completely slow down our rushing attack, and Washington has given up some big games rushing to lesser rushing QBs this year. I think it will be pretty easy moving the ball.

A conservative gameplan and JK Scott should keep Washington needing long drives to put up points. I feel as though Alabama hasn't utilized that aspect very well this year.

I could be really off base but it does feel that way doesn't it?

If we don't man up and hit them between the tackles and make that awesome safety play up so our receivers can get open not very confident at all. I don't know how we go power run game when we haven't run it all year. I see the same game plan jet sweeps around the end. Passes to Ridly and Stewart behind the line and then finally running up the middle. Problem is Washington is good and they get up a couple of scores and Bama is in trouble.

After reading this thread, it doesn't sound like Bama has a chance to win this game.

I don't think anyone is saying that. According to popular media opinion, Washington has no chance to win this game. This thread is negating popular opinion with ways that would give Washington a chance to win the game. Alabama SHOULD win, but it is definately not a given. Chris Peterson has a lot of tricks up his sleeve and Washington is not a bad team
