So is McGill the best team this year? Beat the crap out of Blount & SF, even though Hoover would likely do the same.

But AHSAA has moved the basketball Central Regional tournament to Garrett Coliseum in Mtgy. I haven't been inside there since the ANF about 10 years ago..and it looked crappy.

I'm really hoping for a McGill-Hoover match-up. I realize Blount was 6A, but they have a really good team this year and McGill just overwhelmed them.
Speaking of Blount, they get to play SPanish Fort next.

I was really surprised to see Opelika fall to Central Phoenix City, but Phoenix City has an all purpose player in Jaxton Carson who is just an amazing athlete.

Maplesville 21- Northview (FL)-0. Game ended in the 3rd when NV's HC got ejected and they walked off the field and quit lol.

Some reports said they just walked off, some comments on a FB post said some woman at NV made the call to forfeit. Idk how it happened but that's crazy. I heard Maplesville was taunting them and the refs weren't being fair but that's still not a reason to quit. And I used to go to Maplesville, they do get a little crazy down there taunting other teams.

Etowah and Arab played a game of basketball on the football field.
Etowah won 62-42. Was a tough game for Arab as they were playing against a kid that had been an Arab Knight for the past 5 years. Etowah's QB (Arkansas commit) Dalton Hyatt transferred from Arab to Etowah over the summer and lit his former team up.

There's 2 Northviews. One in Alabama and one in Florida. The one that got ejected was from Florida. Who was the one that was suspended?

#1 Maplesville (5-0) plays at Isabella (5-0) Friday. HUGE game. Basically the region championship is on the line. This is an old rivalry that hasn't been played in years. Should be a great game. In past years, Isabella would lay down and get beat by 70. They have a new coach (from Maplesville) this year and they look better. I hope they at least keep it close, but I'd LOVE to see Isabella pull off the huge upset.
