The recruitment of Bolden is widely speculated to be a 3 team race between Duke, Kansas, and Kentucky but Alabama is now a team to keep an eye on
I just imagine him having the biggest WTF face when he's typing this up. I know it's a longshot, but if we come late to the party and take this guy away from the 3 most prestigious bball programs in the country...

Five-star center Marques Bolden cuts list to Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, Oklahoma, TCU, Alabama and Wake Forest, he tells Scout.

Hopefully we are more than just a hat on the table.

Looks like Baylor is on the list too making it a top 8

More like 2 SEC, 1 ACC, 1 Big 12. It'd be a massive shock for him to not pick one of Duke, Kansas, UK, or Bama.

Bol on Marques Bolden:
quote:
Alabama is in exclusive roundball company on the list with the likes of Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Baylor, Oklahoma, TCU and Wake Forest. According to sources close to the 6-foot-10, 235-pound center, Bolden had a great visit to Alabama over the weekend and gained a lot of ground. The same sources indicate that the Tide is a legitimate contender for his signature and not just a courtesy inclusion on his list. The same individuals close to Bolden who once thought Alabama was a longshot feel that the Tide is trending and trending big.

We could have one the top classes next yr. I know of a recruit that is headed our way but is keeping it quiet. So I gotta do the right thing and keep it to myself. Sorry guys but know AJ is another Nick (stealing out someone else backyard

ETA: Rizzy, did that blurb also talk about Johnson having an in home visit with him September 9th? Someone on Bamamag posted they read that to be the case but didn't say from what site they got the info.

@ReggieRankin
Just confirmed ESPN 60 PG Darius Perry is going on an unofficial visit to Alabama on Sept 19th.@ESPNRNHoops
He's a 2017 PG out of Georgia. He visited us I think in July during an elite camp when the staff offered him.

Johnson is expected to go in-home with Bolden on September 9 and given Johnson's reputation as already being a powerhouse in-home, Duke, who was considered the front-runner for months, may have some legitimate competition.
