Also, maybe Hopkins is upset because is he even being recruited by high majors?

I kind of thought this too, but oh well. I couldn't even find a 247 profile on him. Who does he have offers from now?

There was a 0% chance Nick King was getting off Alabama’s campus without committing.

This is from one of the bigger recruiting guys in Memphis. I wonder what he meant by this. Was Avery and Co. that impressive?

If Avery can build a top 25 class without 1 and comes for 2016, the future will look a lot brighter

Yeah I don't know how to take that

@jalenbutler: Avery Johnson and Johnny Dawkins are watching MWA Elite vs BMore's Finest. #RepsAreEarned

Looks like Johnson watched Ferguson again this morning too.

In the days before EYBL teams arrived in Lexington, there was a report that Each One Teach One (E1T1) point guard Lamonte Turner may reclassify from the 2016 class to his original 2015 class. He told us that he's been considering because he'll have all of his school work done this year but he has not reached a decision yet. The Alabama native received a school visit last week from Crimson Tide assistant coach Antoine Pettway and has been educating himself about new Alabama head coach Avery Johnson who was courtside to see Turner on Saturday. Turner finished with a double-double of 11 points, 11 assists, seven rebounds and three steals.

Definitely following b-ball recruiting more now. I mean, I followed it with AG tenure and Gottfried, but not every day like I have been lately.

What's funny is, I've barely been following football recruiting, but have been checking out Bball recruiting more than ever.

I'm not much of a conspiracy theorists, but I'm starting to think Saban was highly involved in the decision to hire Avery, but there were was an ulterior motive behind it...

quote:

But there's still the matter of Saban's pick-up basketball games played in Coleman Coliseum.

From the beginning, Saban had one rule and it hasn't changed.

"He still insists that I'm not going to be the point guard," the 16-year NBA veteran Johnson said with chuckle. "I've always wanted to be the 2. As long as I can shoot the 3, and at this age, I think I'll be a pretty good set 3-point shooter. But he's going to have to draw double teams. I want to see how good he is at the pick and roll game and drawing double teams. Then we'll decide for sure if I'm going to be a full-time 2-guard or not. But he's the commissioner of the league

As of right now I would say no. I think if we pull some bigger guys maybe that could help. A guy who trains him told me he really likes Michigan. We will see though.

No need to follow it back then. There was no news. This is the most recruiting news we have got since the old tidesports days and they had that one analyst that went to ESPN
