Just figured it might be nice to have a thread for strictly the 2012-13 basketball season, instead of posting several different threads that might get confused with the football threads.

Just saw it this morning, but Jay Bilas released his top 68 earlier in the week, he lists Bama at 32.

Thanks been looking for that.

Hopefully this close game give them real perspective where they need to improve on big time.

I think it was a great game for us to have. The team just didn't seem to have much confidence or energy in the first 15 minutes. I wondered how the sophomore guards would react when they are actually counted on as a pivotal part of our offense instead of just having to feed it to Mitchell or Green all game, and early on it didn't look like any of them knew what to do without those 2 there. That shot is going to help Lacey's confidence a ton and Cooper's great game and the fact that Coach Grant actually called the play for him will also boost his confidence. Levi still looked as if Green and Mitchell were still there all game, he's got to be more aggressive attacking the basket and shooting the 3 when he's open.

It will take a few games for everyone to get on the same page and start to take ownership of the team. There may be some growing pains early on, but we will be better off without Green and Mitchell long term. Last night was definitely encouraging though. Lacey, Releford, and Coop were all really aggressive in the 2nd half.

I really hope Levi will become more agressive on the offensive end. I love how we looked when we turned up the pressure, but I hated how we looked in the half court at times.

I expect some growing pains and a few losses this year. I really hope we can get better in the half court. I still think we struggle to run a set play. Lacey's game winning shot was basically a good shot at the end of a really bad possession, IMO. Lots of standing around.

Is that yet another "don't give a shite" picture? If so, why post that shite on basketball threads if you truly didn't give a shite? GTFO

Hopeful for a big game from Pollard tomorrow so he'll have confidence heading to New York.

I just want him to be able to stay in the game for his defense. The only thing he has to do to accomplish that is to have a better shot selection going forward. The kid is a monster defensively.

He's slow recognizing when to switch off his man but he's athletic enough to make up for it and block them from behind.

Anyone going to the game today? I'll be there.

Retin is in the game at the same time as Releford. Pollard just made a silly play to get us a goal tending on shot that didn't have a chance to go in after a foul call. Bama playing a 2-3 zone.

28 - 20 Bama a little under 4 mins to go

Not as much standing around on offense today. Looks like we have gone to the dribble drive offense.

Is Pollard shooting shite shots again, or are they just not falling?

Lacey appears to be lighting it up a bit, what in the holy frick is going on with the rebounding. 30 to 16? They have a guy that's come in off the bench and gone for 14 and 12.

Jacobs with one basket so far this season.

16 and 13 with 7 offensive boards

I AM NOT AT ALL WORRIED ABOUT OUR POST DEFENSE AND REBOUNDING.

Lacey is stroking it! Pollard is active on D. Has a little ways to go on O. Moussa and Carl are just flat out playing volleyball with the rebounds. Doesn't seem like Jacobs has been on the court that much.

***Pollard runs the court well. It's the halfcourt O that worries me, for now.
