Gaspard was a great recruiter. Didn't develop. Goff is known as a developer. He's never recruited on this level. Remains to be seen.

Yep. Outside of the day to day hitting incompetence, the most frustrating aspect of the Gaspard era was having freshman play and look talented and primed for big careers and then just kind of stay the same for 3-4 years

The Gaspard era peaked in the Super Regional at Clemson in 2010.

I went to every game of the Georgia Tech regional. It was about as fun as I've had at an Alabama event. Peanut shutting down that team of MLB players in the final game was amazing.

I've only attended Alabama games at Arkansas since 2006. My last game at The Joe was the gun wrenching loss to North Carolina in the 2006 Super.

Gawwwww
I was in right field for that one hanging out with Mal eating hot dogs and drinking beer. Alivas homer to their homer was probably the biggest emotional swing since.....hell I dunno, probably Hinskes homer and subsequent Conrad error filled 9th in the Braves NLDS a few years later.

He was recruiting coordinator under Wells. One of the reasons he got the job in 2010. He brought in great classes at Alabama. But they more more susceptible to draft entry than some programs.

Our bullpen coming in the mid inning is pretty bad. No control with their pitches.

Oral Roberts is a fairly good mid major right? I don't know a lot about college baseball.

ORU has God on their side.

Like SoG said, they're expected to win their league this year. Lot of SEC teams just dropped some midweek games, so we're okay. Our bullpen is going to be meh this year, so if our bats aren't hot, we're not going to win many games.

t5, ORU up 2-1. We are not hitting well.

Had runners on 1st and 3rd with 1 out in the 3rd inning, then guy gets picked off at 1st, then the hitter strikes out.

Still down 4-1

Even if they're not so hot, and Bama's team isn't the best I'll be pulling for them like crazy anyway. I always want to go see one but live 4 hours away and have a harder time talking people into driving there with me for a baseball game than football. So I haven't been to one of theirs since the 90s when I was in school during the 2 sport Freddie Kitchens days. You know the QB/pitcher who coaches with the Cardinals today.
