Alabama Baseball #21 in two Preseason Polls

I don't know that there is any coach that is the answer to getting back to that level all by himself. With the lack of commitment from the athletic department we've had over the past several years to address our pathetic facilities it's entirely unrealistic to expect to be competing at that level. Now that we're at long last getting a new stadium and more support from the new administration, it'll be interesting to see what he's able to do over the next 2-3 years. Personally I'm still optimistic about him as he's been able to recruit at a pretty high level all things considered. But I think the answer as to whether or not he's a guy that can get us hosting regionals and competing on a national level on a fairly consistent basis will be answered over the next couple of years. I hope he performs because I'd like to see what he can do in the new stadium.

Hosting a regional would be very nice.

I think that's a realistic goal to have. We obviously have the schedule to end the year with a quality SOS and RPI if we perform to expectations. Winning a regional, whether its our own or somebody else's, would be a great year for us.
