I was hoping we'd pass on him but sounded like he performed fairly well in the 7on portion of the elite 11. I know that's just throwing in shorts but I think the 7on provides a pretty good idea of a QB's decision making capability under pressure. That said, I'd be happy with signing Hurts and using Pass's spot for a different position.

Not everyone cares to read through all that bullshite anymore.
Those Megathread's were fun when we first started them, but it has just gotten lame with people trying to make sure it gets to 1000 or 1500 pages or whatever the goal is these days.

It's nothing but articles. I appreciate the effort dedicated to making sure we're up to date on recruiting, but there are a select few who post way too much and make it not worth reading.

Ummm... recruiting is about reading articles. Sometimes the articles are about camps that none of us attended, some are about visits they are taking, and others are about commitments.
Commitments are updated in the OP. None of us have any inside knowledge. Not sure what you expected from a recruiting thread.

It's a can't win situation.
People don't want to post in it because it's "all articles", but in fact their posting would prevent it from being "all articles".

I will just say, for the record, that I have no problem at all with what goes on in the recruiting thread. I appreciate all of the dedication you guys put fourth in there, and I visit it more than occasionally. I think its great.
However, I see nothing at all wrong with separate threads such as this one, because I just can't keep up with all that goes on in the recruiting thread.

I like it in one thread. I can go to the days I haven't read and catch up.
I have seen the thread taken over by bitching about who think they are insiders or not for a page or two but it's usually easy enough to scroll past what I don't want.
Overall it's my best source of info with comments about recruits and much appreciated.
Edit. I also have no problem if someone starts a thread on a specific player of interest, but I'm easy to please.

I don't mind the other threads about recruiting but one can literally go one page back to find the same information that they just started a thread about. One. Not 270.
And Magilla is right. If you care enough about recruiting to start a thread then post in the recruiting thread. It would give us all a nice break from articles to have actual conversation.
No other team board does it differently.

At least it doesn't get quite as bad as the Auburn thread. They will argue for three pages on whether a guy is 6'1 or 6'3
