Do we have the personnel to have a running game as good or close to as good as 2012?

Well that also depends on the OL. Which I think will be pretty good in terms of run blocking.

That OL was a terror on the field.

Arguably the best offensive line in college football history

Eddie Lacy and TJ Yeldon running behind it

And experienced quarterback and solid receivers and tight ends to keep the defense honest.

No. We don't have that kind of personel, and may never again. The good news is that we should still be good enough to compete for a national title

If drake is good to go I like the combo of he and henry. Line play should be pretty good... but not 2012 good. I'm more concerned with depth since both backs have leg injuries in their career at bama.

It'd be awesome to see them consistently play in the I-formation

I think coach Kiffin will put the ball in the air more than we ever have. Should open nice running lanes for the rbs.

I wonder what percentage of carries Damien Harris will see this season? 10%-20%?

I don't know, but I would like to see him be a breakout star like Yeldon in 2012

I just watched film on this guy and Damn! He can run in traffic and he has the speed to get outside as well. If he has been devoted to training this summer he'll make a huge impact this year.

i think our run blocking will be better this year than the last 2 years, especially in tough yardage situations. i think we will be nastier, but probably not to 2012 levels.

One promising thing: with Cam Rob on one side and Dom Jackson on the other, we can run to either side and are not so predictable. Especially in short yardage situations. Those two can plow the row, so we've got a big advantage on 3rd and 4th and short.

What is the outlook on Jackson? I didn't remember him doing anything of note last year, but he seems to have the tools...

I think he has the skills to be outstanding as a run blocker but he has little experience as a pass blocker. That's his biggest weakness right there.

Or we end up putting Dom next to Cam on short yardage plays and run unbalanced and dare people to stop it.
