Reggie Ragland, Jake Coker, Ryan Kelly, and Derrick Henry.

I bet after the Ole Miss game, he never would have thought this would happen.

I'm happy for Coker. I bet he was shocked.

A lot of people don't want to admit it. But he is every bit as important as the other 3. He reminds me of Mcelroy in Bobby Greenwood's body. His heart and toughness carried the team when nothing else would. I'm proud of the kid, and happy for him.

Maybe Forrest Gump in Cam Newton's body.

So if we who it all, the ground slab will have these names engraved?

I thought he was going to get the MVP yesterday. The TD pass to RM16 was nasty. He is getting better every game. Nothing but respect for Jake!

I really didn't think he should win MVP. He wasn't that good through most of the game. Someone on defense probably should have won it, but I haven't looked at the defensive stats.

Excellent analogy. True grit.

Coker is a tough SOB and gets my respect.

Congrats to the kid. Who'd have thunk that after he got beat out by Blake Sims he'd be getting named a permanent captain for the Tide

AlL I got to say is Nick Effing Saban + Lane fricking Kiffin...
Amazing that those guys have taken 1st year Senior starting QB's that not many folks inside (or outside) the fanbase had any faith in or much respect for and found a way to win back2back conference championships.
Lots of our fans disliked Kiffin before he came and I must agree, I wasn't a fan of the hire initially, but the dude is a genius. If Henry wins the Heisman (and the Doak Walker Award), then in 2 seasons Kiffin will have contributed to 2 playoff berths, 2 SEC Championships, Bama's 1st Biletnikoff, and possibly Bama's 2nd Heisman Trophy and 2nd Doak Walker Award.
That's a career's worth of hardware in two seasons and we still have fans that want Kiffin gone. We are truly #Bamaspoiled by Saban.

Me too. With all due respect to Henry, I thought Jake deserved it.

Dude if he had McElroy mind and Greenwood body he would be in NYC getting his Heisman.

Do you forget how much McElroy played like him in 2009? Always holding the ball too long, not giving up on plays, always throwing a bit late because he wants to make sure he isn't making a mistake...

200+ yards and 2 touchdowns. He was most of the offense.

All three of Alabama's touchdowns were a result of Cokers passing. Even Henry's lone touchdown run was setup by the deep throw to Ridley. Cokers touchdown pass to Mullaney was anything but throwing it up for grabs. That was as elite of a throw as it gets. Listen, I know Coker has no future at QB post Alabama and he is far from the best QB we have had, but credit is due when the guy passes as well as he did against that Florida secondary. I am happy Derrick Henry got the MVP, all I am saying is at the time I thought Coker had earned it just as much.
