I don't think my body is ready for this

that's what I was thinking. Freaking Upshaw and co. were like a pack of great whites among a school of tuna.

What strikes me most while going through these games is how good the DBs were at tackling in space. I'm currently on the Ole Miss game and I can count on one hand the number of times Milliner, Menzie, Kirkpatrick, Barron and Lester missed a tackle out in the flats.

Just watched the 2011 Arkansas-Bama game on YouTube. Sure do miss that defense.

You can make a case that there were only a handful of legitimate TD drives on us that year. It was still odd how we gave up some bombs very early in some games.
As said above, we were just so good at tackling in space. If there was a hole or an offensive player in space, we just closed in so damn quickly.

It was odd to me how penn state had the yards they did. Also, how florida had 190 yards passing before halftime.
But, no matter how great an offense or defense is (even if the unit is the greatest to ever play), they're not perfect. The greatest defense ever will give up some plays here and there, maybe to a team that has a less than great offense. Same could be said for an all time great offense. They may be historically elite, but can still have a negative play, a careless turnover, give up a sack, etc.
One example of this would be 95 Nebraska. A widely considered historic offense, held to 190 yards rushing against K-State. K-State had far from a great defense.

They finished the '95 season #1 in the nation in total defense. They were the last team to record 3 shutouts in a row.

My finger slipped and I accidently hit the down vote button. Please accept my apology. I really appreciate your work and enjoy your highlights.
