The Alabama dynasty finally begins. The Crimson Tide demoralize and destroy the Clemson Tigers in the first game of the '08 season.

Crazy to think Dabo was a WR coach that year.

You could tell when they ran out onto the field for warm ups that this was a different team. Bigger, Stronger, Faster...and most importantly, Better. The difference was amazing. Glad I witnessed it in person.

The 07 class was pretty solid too, it had a lot of players that contributed in 08,09,10 and 11.

I'm not afraid to say I had an orgasmic experience that night in the Georgia Dome.

However, I wasn't convinced we were really back until the blackout game. Clemson was Clemson.

Definitely,

but the 2008 class was a game changer not just in player contributions, but also changing our programs perception on a national level, recruiting wise especially. Our success in recruiting and on-field performance has just snow-balled since then.

I was helping a friend move that day and I drove from Douglasville, GA to Nashville, TN and left Nashville around 4 and got back to Atlanta in time to watch the whole game.

Mark Ingram's intro to college football!

Watched this game at a Barner's house (RIP to his kind soul). His words at the end of that game?

"Well shite, I guess Bama's back."

That was ourn introduction to Make His arse Quit!

That was Julio, Ingram, and Cody's first game if I remember correctly.

I recall a Clemson fan was live blogging the game and said something like "The Clemson offense takes the field for the first time. And apparently Alabama has a Volkswagen at nose tackle".

My seats were pretty low for that game, and I remember thinking the same thing. My first thought was, holy sh*t, this is a new team!
