I remember 2 things from this game:
People still yelling that Brown's knee was down.
The worst Made Field Goal in football history.

That ball was a fricking watermelon when it was kicked.

The best part about the game-ending FG is the old gray haired, vest-wearing Bama fan who throws his hands up and sprints up into the tunnel right after the ball goes through the uprights.

My dad and I were at the other end of the stadium. We had no idea initially if the ball went through, the guy that caught the ball was our indication that the ball actually went through. We were right in the middle of a bunch of those tortilla throwing goons. They were in denial the whole ride back into Dallas. That was a good day.

That was the next year, I think. Shula fired post Auburn game, Joe Kines was the interim coach for the bowl game against Oklahoma State. Yes, we've actually played Oklahoma State in the last decade or so.

That was the following year's Independence Bowl. Interim coach Joe Kines. Bama lost on a last second field goal 31-34.
