What Are Deion Sanders's Thoughts On Manziel's Domestic Altercation?
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
NFL Network analyst and Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders shared his thoughts on Johnny Manziel's latest drama with his ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley that has led to a restraining order against the Browns QB. Here's what Sanders said per Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com...
quote:

Johnny's in love. And Johnny's in love with something that's crippling him right now. I understand it. And it upsets me that grownups don't understand it. Because he feels as though this game don't love him, the people in this game don't love him, so the only thing that he associates with love is that thing that's really inflicting a lot of pain on him and that's his girlfriend.

It's hard to be a young kid. You have to go through these trials and tribulations to find yourself and that's what he doing right now. He's trying to find himself. And I empathize with him. Johnny's girlfriend. That's his issue.

I'm not saying she is the problem. I'm saying their relationship is inflammatory.

His last two issues have been with her. Take away that and what you got?
He also Blames the Browns...
quote:

I think a lot of the situation was handled wrong in Cleveland. I don't think they really had the infrastructure that they needed to really facilitate this kid.

At that one point the kid really had a good game and then he was benched. Do you know what that does to someone mentally and psychologically, especially dealing with what he's dealt with?

Bust your arse and win and then be told to go back to the bench.

This in a town where the fans hate your guts because your last name isn't Hoyer and you aren't from Cleveland.

Johnny needs to stay far away from his bat shite crazy ex-girlfriend, lay low, and hopefully get a chance to play.

Especially dealing with what he has dealt with? What, exactly, has been horribly bad in his life? Never pitty a millionaire.

Frick you Deon. Johnny is a grown man and need to start acting like it. You want to blame everyone but him for being the spoiled arse punk that he is. There is no excuse for hitting a woman and this is the second time. But considering Deion was a thug punk back in the day this does not surprise me. Zero accountability!

Wrong Deion the only person he has to blame is himself. The word was his but he decided to be a dumbass and piss away his opportunities.

Johnny's problem is Johnny. Not the Browns, not his girlfriend, not alcohol, not football.
