According to the New York Daily News, after 29 seasons Tom Jackson will be leaving ESPN provided some wiggle room for the veteran analyst to return to Sunday NFL Countdown for what would be his 30th season.
quote:

As one source explained it, ESPN’s decision to bring back Trent Dilfer after his contract had expired and it appeared he would leaving arose in part from Jackson’s decision to leave.

I don't like any of these guys enough anymore to care when they leave. I do turn it off quickly when I don't like them though. Especially hate the automatic female now a days. I don't mind the quick sideline input, but I don't care for a females opinion on sports. That's worse than taking random forum peeps opinion, and caring about it. If I wanted to listen to women talk about sports I'd ask my girl what she thought, and I'd at least get brownie points for asking her. Then get her to bring me some brownies, and milk without getting the "look." Typically when I'm watching sports I'm alone, and I don't want to hear a female yapping. Rant over...

Not going to miss Tom because I haven't watched them in a while because I just can't take Berman any more.
