The injury -- which an MRI revealed did not include a tear of the ACL in the knee, according to the source, but did result in a bone bruise -- happened on a third-quarter play in a 12-6 win over the host St. Louis Rams.
Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Monday morning there is no official timetable for Roethlisberger's return, but the source told Mortensen that Pittsburgh was planning on him being out for six weeks.
