A bunch of Detroit Lions fans have purchased and put up this billboard in protest of the officials not calling a penalty when Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright batted the ball out of the back on the end zone on Monday night....

The no call led to a Lions loss and a 0-4 start to the season. NFL Vice President of Officiating Dean Blandino has since indicated the Lions should have been given the ball at the 1-yard line.

Not arguing that, Reb. What you wrote is factual. What I wrote is also factual. Just seems to me like a very lame reason for a billboard, thus the title of the article we are commenting on.

@jeffrold.. How about the fact is... Seattle's linebacker DID bat the ball, it was illegal, and it was a blown call. The superstar shouldn't have fumbled.. But he did. Seattle's LB should've just let the ball go out, but he didn't... he batted the ball out, and the refs blew a call.

How about not have your superstar fumble the potential game winning play into the end zone? Then you don't have to worry about a missed call that didn't have anything to do with the play. It's not like the SEA linebacker batted the ball away from a Lion that had any chance in hell of recovering. The ball was going out of the end zone with or without the "bat".
