Bears Release Ray McDonald After Domestic Violence Arrest

The Chicago Bears announced Monday afternoon that defensive tackle Ray McDonald has been released by the team after he was arrested earlier Monday in California on suspicion of domestic violence and child endangerment. Per ESPN:
quote:McDonald signed a one-year deal with the Bears in March worth $1.05 million but included no guaranteed money.
According to Santa Clara police, McDonald was arrested at approximately 7 a.m. local time Monday after officers said he "physically assaulted the victim while she was holding a baby."
