On Wednesday, former Florida WR Travis Taylor appeared on 1010XL radio in Jacksonville where he talked about the differences between current coach Will Muschamp and former coach Urban Meyer when it comes to reaching out to Gator alumni...
quote:

“You can tell a difference when Urban was there and when coach Muschamp came in,” Taylor said. “More older guys got involved. Older guys started coming around. We had the spring game, all the older guys come in. We had a day with the team.

“When Urban was there, we didn’t have that. I think now, Terry Jackson is basically kind of over player development, getting the guys out in the community and stuff like that. You can tell there’s a difference of what Muschamp is trying to do with the guys coming back and really feeding into the younger guys.”

Hate to disagree with him but when Meyer was hired he made it a point to reach out to former players and encouraged them to come around the team as often as possible. Former player involvement was at an all time high under Meyer. It was Meyer that hired Terry Jackson for player development. Meyer has done a lot of things wrong, but this was definitely not one of them.
