Cornerback Champ Bailey Decides To Retire

Jack Reale, the agent of 12-time Pro Bowler cornerback Champ Bailey announced on Tuesday that his 36-year old client has decided to retire from the NFL to pursue other career opportunities. Per ESPN:
quote:Bailey was at the New Orleans Saints training camp this season, but failed to make the roster.
"At this time, Champ has decided not to accept on-field opportunities and pursue another career path," Reale said. "He could be playing right now if he wanted to be."
Instead, the clock will start running until the time of his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
"To play the end of this season and maybe next season, given his opportunities, he could have done that," Reale said. "But he decided it was best to move on to those other areas. I think everybody on his team agreed that was a good approach."
