LSU forward Jordan Mickey was named to the preseason all SEC team.
Crystal LoGiudice-USA TODAY Sports
LSU sophomore forward Jordan Mickey was named to the first-team preseason All-SEC team on Wednesday. Per LSUSports.net:

Mickey, who was a second-team All-SEC selection and an All-Defensive SEC choice after becoming just the second Tiger in school history to block 100 shots in a season, returns along with sophomore Jarell Martin of Baton Rouge who also averaged in double figures this past season. Both were on the league’s All-Freshman team.

Aaron Harrison, Mickey and Summers were each All-SEC First Team selections along with Arkansas’ Bobby Portis and Florida’s Michael Frazier II.

He was a 2nd-Team ALL SEC player last season. He's only the 2nd player in LSU history to block 100 shots in a season. Dare to take a guess as to who the other player was? Point is, he's very deserving of this award.

All-SEC?

Mickey plays some of the worst defense I have ever seen. If the shot isn't blocked, the other team is scoring on Mickey.

I am ready for the basketball season and will be at every game. I hope Mickey does become an All-SEC player; I just don't see it yet.
