LSU quarterback Brandon Harris was named SEC Freshman of the week for his outstanding performance in the Tigers 63-7 victory over New Mexico State on Saturday night.

• Led LSU to touchdowns on all seven possessions that he was quarterback and accounted for five TDs in the win ... Became first true freshman in LSU history to throw 3 TDs passes in a game.
• Also rushed for 2 TDs to become the first true freshman in school history to account for 5 TDs in a game ... Connected on 11-of-14 passes for 178 yards and 3 scores and rushed for 36 yards and 2 TDs vs. New Mexico State.
