Per ESPN: The theme around Auburn's football building since January has been about being "13 seconds better."

Just being better than '13 is a lofty enough goal.

It's been nearly eight months since the Tigers came within 13 seconds of a national championship after winning the SEC, and they'll begin what they hope will be a road back to the top of college football with Saturday's early conference visit from Arkansas.

This time, the Tigers won't be able to sneak up on anyone. Not after coming from 10 down in the fourth quarter at Texas A&M. Not after stunning Georgia and Alabama in November with miraculous plays Auburn fans may never forget.

And certainly not after largely outplaying undefeated juggernaut Florida State in the Rose Bowl before Jameis Winston's late TD to Kelvin Benjamin.
