Multiple sources are reporting that Texas A&M football players Gavin Stansbury, Howard Matthews, and Ed Pope were all arrested last Thursday.

Defensive lineman Gavin Stansbury was arrested on an assault charge, while Howard Matthews and Ed Pope were arrested for failure to appear.

Per ESPN:

According to a College Station Police Department public information officer, the three were in Pope's car when he was pulled over for having expired registration on his vehicle. The officer on the scene ran Pope's license and found a warrant for a failure to appear. The officer then ran the licenses of Stansbury and Matthews, finding warrants out for both individuals.

There are very strong indications that the assault charge is bogus. Rice PD say witnesses said he hit a dude at a party. He says he was working at the Houston Rodeo on a paid internship that night, that he wasn't even at the party, and he has alibis out the wahzoo. We'll see.

Stansbury was arrested on an assault charge according to the story so don't downplay this. I think this brings the AnM Offseason Arrest total to 7. I guess that's expected from one of the most corrupt NCAA programs, historically speaking.

Dumbassed Aggies. They were not driving. They did not have to identify themselves or even speak to the cops.
