Here are the rushing stats for Grimes as an OL coach since ‘09
2009 Auburn #12 (212 ypg)
2010 Auburn #3 (284.8 ypg)
2011 Auburn #32 (182.3 ypg)
2012 Auburn #85 (148.4 ypg)
2013 Va Tech #104 (119.8 ypg)

After the 2010 NC year there is a steady decline in rushing yards per game…

Please, let's not put too much into his "NC under the belt"...yes looks nice on the resume but that team had Cam Newton as the QB...he was so good he made the head coach look good...how's he doing these days? So a future NFL HOF needs coaching experience? that's ridiculous...Oh well, we shall see won't we?

Bleeding purple and gold has nothing to do with coaching. Being an outstanding OL at one time doesn't equate to being able to coach it either. I'll take the guy with experience as a coach.

This is a man that has demonstrated that he can recruit and coach. A very valuable person to have on the staff. Good job, Les!

Mr. Shankly, You'd take this someone who has NEVER been a coach over this "hack" who has a national championship under his belt as a position coach? I think it will be a good hire.

He consistantly takes undervalued players, trains them up, and puts them in the NFL. This guy is a very good hire.
