Arizona State Fires Basketball Coach Herb Sendek

ESPN is reporting that Arizona State has fired basketball coach Herb Sendek after nine season with the school.
Names floating around as possible candidates to replace Sendek include Memphis coach Josh Pastner, Duke assistant coach Jeff Capel and LSU assistant coach Eric Musselman, as well as others.

Sendek, 51, came to Tempe in 2006 after spending a decade at North Carolina State, where he guided the Wolfpack to the NCAA tournament in each of his final five seasons.
Sendek guided Arizona State to a pair of NCAA tournament appearances -- in 2009 with James Harden and in 2014. He also took the Sun Devils to the NIT four times.
