Bleacher Report did a report on former NBA superstar point guard Allen Iverson called "An Icon at 40: The Untold Story of Allen Iverson" on Thursday. In it you learn Iverson had thoughts of playing football for Lou Holtz and the Fighting Irish while in high school...
quote:

Until the bowling alley incident—a brawl that eventually led to Iverson, a 17-year-old, being convicted as an adult of maiming by mob—turned his life upside down, he says he would have gone to Notre Dame to play quarterback, return kicks and win the Heisman Trophy. He would have done what Lou Holtz asked and showed them he was faster than Raghib “Rocket” Ismail. “I loved those gold helmets,” Iverson says longingly. Then it would be on to the NFL, hopefully the Cowboys.
It's a long interesting piece on Iverson. I'd check it out if you have the time. Also here's some clips of him playing high school football...

Vick and Iverson are from the same area of VA and Vick is on record as saying AI was the better QB of the two.
Looks like a hell of a DB prospect though. 7 ints in one game? Damn!
Electrifying as hell on returns.
In today's world he'd be a very highly ranked 5* in noth basketball and football
