You have to admit it’s pretty crazy how much the refs are favoring the Spurs and they still went 0-2 at home.

Chalk it up to youth and inexperience I guess.

Truth is starting to surface. I said it before but the sports pundits will turn on him like they did on SGA.

Yeah we called it, said last week if the Spurs play the Knicks like they did OKC, the media and fans would turn on them. New York can control the media narratives and they have an astronomically bigger fanbase.

It’s funny to watch the Spurs be more hated than the Thunder now. We’re off the hook!

I went from being calm and cool for most of the playoffs to arse clenched now. I think I didn’t expect them to get by OKC, and once they did, I felt great. This whole year was house money…until now.

If I’ve learned one thing from following the NBA, it’s much easier to just be a college basketball fan.

In the tourney you’re lucky if it’s stressful for two games. In the NBA it’s two months! It’s a damn mental grind.

You’re a Lakers fan? Holy shite no wonder.

Yep, feels good. Gonna go jack off thinking about it, brb.

Most accurate post you have ever had.

I said the Spurs would win the series after game 2. :dunno:
Congrats to the Spurs, hell of a team!

Glad that’s over, now we can all get back to being nice to each other.

Looking forward to the finals, will be nice to watch basketball without feeling like I’m gonna have a heart attack.

The Spurs are just matching your energy, finally. And yall hate it.

Agree to disagree.

I applaud the Spurs defense, the dirty plays are over the top though. I don’t think they’ll be allowed to do that stuff tomorrow.

Narratives are wrong and if SA makes finals it will come out even more with the NY press.

Hadn’t thought about that. If they play like this against New York the narratives will shift immediately. Much bigger fanbase and media apparatus. Plus the weight of the celebrity fans.

It’s funny to watch people defend the Spurs’ dirty plays. If the roles were reversed they’d be calling for suspensions. I think deep down they know this but they like to troll and be pests. They don’t honestly believe those plays are just physical defense.

Ever provide any clarity on this?

It was a stat I saw on Twitter but I think it was only through the first 4 games. Could have been a bogus stat, hell if I know.

It's dishonest to post this as if they were fine.

It’s also dishonest to post that they didn’t play at all.

They played a combined 48 minutes.

It's hilarious that your lie gets upvoted but the truth gets downvoted. A good snapshot for the state of our world right now.

Not only did both of those guys play, they both started.

Good to see Jalen get some minutes and stretch out the hammy.

Yeah hopefully he gets some pop back, we're missing his size.

I think they were preparing him for game 7 as opposed to asking him to go win the game for us last night. Just need 10-12 from him tomorrow but if he somehow gets hot the crowd is gonna be insane.

Since 2017, NBA home teams hold a 14-15 record in Game 7s

It’s more worthwhile to focus on the teams involved. Two of those wins were from OKC just last year, played two home game 7’s and won both by a good margin.

Spurs haven’t played well in OKC outside of game 1, and that took a logo three and double overtime to win.

What OUGuy says about free throws will be interesting. I heard a stat yesterday, if you took out every free throw from both teams in the series, OKC would have won in 5. They would have won game 1 in regulation by 6.

I also don’t think Alex Caruso will let them lose a game 7 at home. He’s the X factor, wish he would start. I’m nervous and excited but if we lose at least we got a ring last year. Nobody goes back to back anymore.

Spurs are better and Shai being the MVP is laughable. Getting exploited as the fraud he is.

This is definitely the best defense he’s had to play against the past two years. Hasn’t been himself at all, shooting like 20% below his average. He likely knows this game 7 will be a legacy game, gotta show up.
He’s volunteering at a children’s homeless shelter making warm socks for the poor.
OKC gotta fix the slow starts, feels like we’re in a hole early in every game. We’ve been here before though. Nuggets and Pacers both went to 7 last year and we were able to close out at home convincingly.

I’d swap Caruso with Dort in the starting lineup, Dort has been totally nonexistent in this series but keeps starting. Reminds me of what Dag did with Giddey a couple years ago. He’s clearly not the best option but they keep trying to force it.
