Well we’ve got .230 Torres in the 4 hole.

The team is the team. Just hope to scratch out another 2-3 runs and hope Fay goes 7
Steele with a piss down your leg at bat there. Not the time of year to be stranding guys in scoring position
The irony is that woman is from West Virginia

But Georgia is winning it all. Same thing wins in college baseball that’s always won. Pitch well enough and frickin rake at the plate.

This year we lose multiple players and get nothing in return

While true, we are freeing up a lot of weekly wages from some of our highest earners
Portugal finally gets their first. Much like PSG shedding the champions league curse by losing their global superstars, Portugal sits Ronaldo and lets their midfield completely dictate every match.

anyone have a D1 baseball subscription?

They have an article up where anonymous coaches break down every team in the supers, curious what they had to say about our squad
Looks like the Tuscaloosa super regional is sold out. Look forward to comparing to the crowd in Oxford

We all know this teams biggest problem is the bullpen, its not going to change

The teams biggest problem is producing runs against decent pitching. If you look at the teams left in the tournament I'd wager my paycheck we are bottom 3 in team batting average.

The second biggest problem is defense. We lead the league in errors and that has reared its ugly head again in the postseason. If you are average at the plate, and have an average bullpen, your only real path to competing with high level teams is lights out defense. Make the opponent earn everything.

I don't think the shitty defense is talent issue as much as a mental issue- guys just not locking in. Torres and Hines are liabilities in the field but everybody else can play when they're locked in.

We need to start playing clean baseball to continue advancing. Not missing a fastball over the middle you're trying to bunt. Not seeing a bunt down and getting caught in a run down. Not playing at the warning track for a pinch runner with no homeruns. Not chasing ball 4 out of the zone and then watching strike 3 over the plate. There just has to be a stronger emphasis on fundamental baseball IQ type of plays. You can't take pitches off.

Being able to play situational smart baseball is an equalizer we have to utilize. We are getting a beatable opponent in the super regardless of the outcome today in Tallahassee. I'd like to see them go put on a good showing in Omaha though and look like they belong

They should never host if this is the best they can do

That’s not how it works.
Banks with about 8 straight 90 mph fastballs in the zone. Shaking off the curve
8-9-1 due up.

Need the Bama offense to show up. 2 strikeouts and a homerun
Just another example of terrible situation baseball management

Banks has a slow move. This kid is going eventually
5’7” pinch runner with 0 home runs batting .214 on the year and Fowler playing on the track
Yes I don’t know how the “rule” works but game 1 of a regional final, the home team should be the home team
Gotta go to the closer regardless of what happens in the top half here
We’re going to leave him in to face a guy with 14 homers and hitting 360
