re: Arkansas's Disappointing OOC schedule I thought we mainly scheduled Rutgers because WVU left the Big East, freeing up their schedule. It came down to that being where the shake-ups happened that aligned with our schedule changes. Is Rutgers a step down from TAMU as a non-conference opponent? Last year, sure. But in general? I don't think its a huge drop-off. I don't think anybody in the SEC West needs to get too worked up about SOS anyway. Reply Back to Top

Rutgers is definitely a step down from Texas A&M, I would say they are a huge step down. On the other hand Arkansas hasn't played much on the East coast and I think any exposure in that market will help Arkansas in the long run. Reply Back to Top
Understood, no malicous intent, simply a statement of fact, Rutgers was so bad for so long they gained a bit of buzz when they became a mid top twenty team due to the underdog story-line,however their 15 minutes of fame seems to have flamed out. As season's progressed the contacts Schiano made as The Miami DC with high school coaches in South Florida seemed to go stale which reflected on the feild. An East Coast sub plot was where Greg Schiano career was headed once he turned the bottom 25 Rutgers into a top 25 program. Reply Back to Top

Rutgers was 9-4 last year and beat Iowa State in their bowl game. Reply Back to Top

The only reason Rutgers excites me is that in 2013 I can combine an away game with a trip to see my friends in NYC! I'll probably make them come to the game, wear Razorback gear and do the Hog Call! Reply Back to Top
quote: Lol. I didn't even think about going up to NYC. Hell by the time that game rolls around I may be up there for work anyways. Reply Back to Top |
It's about 45 minutes away from NYC. The wife and I are already planning our trip for the game and the city. Reply Back to Top
The train will take you from Rutgers to the Subway in Newark where you go under the river and come out at the World Trade Center Reply Back to Top
quote: If you want to see a Broadway show, but don't have a MUST see, I recommend TKTS. Tickets are usually about half price. And yes, you do have to wait in line, and the line looks huge, but we probably only waited half an hour, and saved quite a bit of money. Not all shows are available every day, and you usually can't get tickets to the hottest shows (like right now, Book of Mormon), but they still had probably 10-15 shows from which to choose.
