Yes, my ex girlfriends uncle was a massive TCU fan and booster. Huge douche from Aledo (I believe that's the town at least)

If by "run the state" you mean not fill their own stadium, not get high ratings on Thanksgiving despite a shot at the playoffs, and barely get a top 40 class after such a successful season than yeah they run the state.
You silly southerners and your belief that what happens on the football field is the sole way to judge a program/state/university. If that was the case Alabama (the program/state/university) would be the Mecca of American, but it is not.
TCU is awesome. Unlike ever other Texas Power 5 team they earned their place.
