"Shaq & Dale" Directed by Hannah Storm
April 13, at 9 p.m. EST on the SEC NETWORK

"Shaq & Dale," narrated by Louisiana native and music superstar Tim McGraw, follows former basketball great Shaquille O'Neal as he returns to LSU to visit with Dale Brown, the coach who helped make it all possible. The relationship between these two men goes back to the time when Shaq was 13 and living on an army base in Germany when he asked the coach for some exercise tips. Since that day, O'Neal has received at least one letter or email from Brown every week-and a lot more of them during their three years together in Baton Rouge. Back then, they might have seemed very different, but they forged a deep friendship that they cherish to this day.

Coming in July is "Mike and Debbie". What if I told you a former Alabama football coach was diddling his secretary?

Shaq & Dale are getting an SEC Storied? Isn't that a little much for just one episode of Shaq Vs.?

College player of the year, SEC championship, 4 NBA titles, 3 P/O MVP's, league MVP, primary reason for the allowance of zone defenses and the defensive 3 second call in the NBA, 1 of the 50 greatest players of all time(And the youngest guy on the list when it came out). And without Dale Brown's pursuit and encouragement, likely most of that never happens. Yeah, I can see your point. There's no substance for a TV special there at all.

Holy shite, LSU underachieved back then, just like they do now.

Of all those teams, I'd love to see how Chris Jackon's game would've translated today. The guyw as Steph Curry before Steph Curry knew his Dad's name was Dell.

That's all Shaq and Dale accomplished at LSU. He was a great player. Would be more relevant if it focused on his NBA career.

Hey let's do an SEC storied on every great player that won an SEC championship? Boom, I just created a plethora of programming for the SEC network. Shaq was a great player. Too bad him and Dale didn't really do anything that was "storied" in their time in the SEC, dumb pchk.

How, a team with Shaq, Stanley Roberts, Chris Jackson, Vernel Singleton (with his shoulder bandaid) and Maurice Williams didn't accomplish more than they did is a gd travesty.

Shaq and Dale:

#5 seed, 9 losses, no SEC tourney wins, 2nd round
#5 seed, 10 losses, no SEC tourney wins, 1st round
#7 seed, 10 losses, 1 SEC tourney win, 2nd round

SEC Storied:
Book of Manning
Archie, Peyton and Eli.
No championships.
1 Sugar Bowl win, 1 tie for SEC West title. Coupla Heisman votes. Just sayin'.

Believe us, all LSU fans know

That doesn't make the relationship dynamics the two SEC legends had any less interesting. It's the damn off-season. The SECN absolutely should keep making these types of documentaries, even if they didn't make a significant tournament run

What would be the penalty these days if a University organized a chant for a recruit during a football game?
