2016 4* RB C.J. Freeman Commits to USC

I'm hype about Freeman, I watched his highlights a while back and posted my observations on our recruiting thread. This was when he was ranked a 3*, but he was recently bumped up to a 4*, 'bout a week ago.

I can't figure out why he's a 3* and only has 5 offers, I could only speculate on the reason. However, he's a fantastic RB. He has SEC level speed for a RB, but his best attributes are his acceleration and cutting. He also can't be tackled with one arm or very well up high. He pumps his feet quickly coming through the line. He falls forward on contact. He breaks off tackles and gets two hands on the ball on contact. He can catch the ball, he can adjust his body in mid-air to make catches. He runs north south, but breaks out to the sides with his shoulders facing downfield. He moves laterally extremely well. He runs the ball out of the wildcat, he can run up the middle, he has good hands and can catch a sweep on the run.

I'm just really impressed. I would think his offer list would be huge, I'm curious why it isn't. It's going to be a battle pulling him from Va Tech, they're a childhood favorite of his.

That was my quote. I meant it verbatim. Based on his ability, and what I saw on his film, I would've thought he would've had more than 6 offers now (5 back when I wrote it.) I can't figure out why he doesn't have more offers, but I really don't care, he's committed to us, so no other offers are welcome.
