Cannot wait to see him frick this hire up.
His crowning achievement so far is hiring a coach who is under .500 in his first two seasons at Tennessee with 1 (ONE) quality win in 25 games.
When Butch crashes and burns I hope Bama Dave is lynched by the reds.

Too bad for you Butch isn't going to crash and burn and when TN is lifting the SEC championship trophy one of the next two seasons in Atlanta in FB Butch, Dobbs and Hart will all be laughing at idiots like you panicking right now!

And if he is right? Let's not act like Butch is a top X's and O's coach. Some of his L's came because of coaching moves. Isn't Muschamp 2-0 vs Butch?

Tennessee is definitely batting out of their league by having Dave Hart as their AD. He upgraded from a LaTech-level football coach to a Cincinnati-level football coach. Plus, he was able to replace Cuonzo Martin with a coach that actually wanted to be at Ut--no small miracle.
Just feel lucky that Alabama is letting you use one of their own to try and get your Athletic Department out of the dumpster.

Both Hamilton and Hart were, or appear to be or have been, maladroit ... but perhaps Hart needs more of a chance. The guy seems very competent on paper.

It remains to be seen if Jones was a great hire or not, but I think Hart needs to go one way or another.

While I disagree with Volfan about Butch, he's spot on about Hart. This Tyndall thing is a blunder and most AD's at major schools would be terminated for this kind of incompetence.

Butch Jones is way out of his league on game days in this league. Sure he has recruited about as well as possible, but at some point you have to coach them up and that's definitely not his strong suit.

He inherited Cuonzo and didn't cause that situation.
He made one hire that had some baggage come up that he didn't find before he hired him. Is that a screw up? Sure, but it is basketball, if we go make the right hire we can be fine in two seasons.
The blunder didn't cost the AD any money. No buyout, not even sure Tyndall gets paid much for this year.
This isn't like Hamilton where his dumb decisions have left us in a financial mess with buyouts all over the place.
The AD is financially healthy for the first time in a long time. Football is rolling and the fan base is pumped. Season tickets are flying off the shelf, donations for football are through the roof.
I am happy about the lady vol logo and DO NOT GET THE BIG DEAL ABOUT IT AT ALL. Hell many other SEC programs have just went through the same change with all their programs, at least we are leaving it for the women's bball team.
Everyone is being very over emotional and reactionary for no reason.

While the Mizzou game was embarrassing, the UF game was much worse.
It seems as though many of our fans have forgotten about that abortion of a coaching effort/gameplan.

You are crazy if you don't think he overachieved last year.
We played double the amount of freshman in total games played then the next closest SEC team. 200 something games to 100.
We started double the amount of freshman a the next closest SEC team next year.
I think Butch will prove he is actually an above average gameday coach this year.
He already proven he is an incredible CEO, Recruiter and motivator.
