I always thought the Sec needed better coaches. Just 10 years ago, we had tubby smith, stan heath,
Jeff lebo, john brady and dennis felton.

Very excited about the coming years. LSU getting stronger. Arky getting stronger. Pearl is building at Auburn. State just made a great hire. Looks like Bama is getting serious about hiring a coach. UK and UF will be there as long as Cal and Billy are there.

Should be some great basketball.

I think a ton of that can be traced to UK being UK again.

Agreed. Pretty cool to see all the excitement surrounding SEC basketball. SEC network is helping a lot due to fans actually getting to see their respective teams play.

Auburn winning 3 games in the SEC tournament just shows how bad I wish we were competitive in basketball. We'll be there soon enough

It needs to get back to the late 80's/early 90's type crowds and competition.

Ark is better
LSU is better believe it or not
Ole Miss is consistent
MSU hired a solid X/O guy
Bama makes change
Auburn has Pearl
A&M has Stansbury
Fla will be back under Donovan
Tenn will be on probation
UGA and Fox I still think that's a bad fit
Mizzou is in the cellar
Vandy will be loaded next year
South Carolina pull the plug on Martin
UK no comment

I can't wait to see VU play in Maui together next year after the way these young guys have come together down the stretch.

Start the season 11-3
Then lose 7 in a row, 3 by less than 4 points and all but 1 by single digits
Then close season 10-3

Play Stanford tonight for a chance to go to Madison Square Garden and get even more valuable tournament experience for a young squad.

We have a great class coming in and we've improved every year. Small margins, but we should be pretty decent next year. If we aren't by then, I'll agree with you.

4-14
5-13
6-12

That's pretty minimal improvement. Better hope you make the NCAAT next year

I said in my post it was small improvement. We had some good wins this year and you can tell were improved. Just not there yet. If we fire Martin, who would we get?

A&M has Kennedy. Get it right. We're about to assume the same position we had when we first joined the Big 12.

Was very fun to watch. I guess in the end it sucked cause we all knew Kentucky was at the end of the tunnel

I'm not saying fire him now, but if he doesn't make the NCAAT next year you never will under him. It doesn't take this long to build a basketball team. Johnny freaking Jones got LSU to the NCAAT in 3 years and without a SINGLE player leftover from the previous coach.

Reminds me of how I felt about our stan heath clubs. I had no problem with losing just as long as we kept it close. That is how bad the program got. We even recruited players from intramurals. True story.
