The other thread talking about kicking out and adding teams to the SEC got me thinking.

Football

Division Titles:
Georgia--5 (in 23 years since SEC divisions began)
Georgia Tech--4 (in 10 years since ACC divisions began)

Conference Championships:
Georgia Tech--16
Georgia--14

National Championships:
Georgia Tech--4
Georgia--2

Basketball

Conference Championships:
Georgia Tech--4
Georgia--1

Conference Tournament Championships:
Georgia Tech--4
Georgia--2

NCAA Appearances:
Georgia Tech--16
Georgia--12

Final Fours:
Georgia Tech--2
Georgia--1

NCAA Runner up:
Georgia Tech--1
Georgia--0

Academics

Georgia Tech--ranked 35th by US News
Georgia--ranked 62nd by US News

Endowment

Georgia Tech--$1.8 Billion
Georgia--$939 million

Damn Georgia...I always knew the SEC had a lot of little bros, but I didn't realize you were one of them

That's alright, you can hang out with Mississippi State, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Auburn, and A&M in at the little bro table

So GT really is better than them in all 3. Interesting.

Georgia has a smaller endowment than Alabama? That's surprising.

Georgia fans won't like this thread but those that live in Georgia know that Georgia Tech is the abusive, alcoholic dad that smacks the shite out of UGA when they're out of line.

Georgia Tech has a losing record against UGA in every sport they play except for Men's b-ball.

Georgia Tech has never finished within 20 spots of UGA since the creation of the Director's Cup.

Tech is a great school, particularly in Math, Science and Engineering, but to suggest they are superior athletically to UGA is absurd.

Georgia contributes very little to the athletic landscape of the SEC. So we might as well have Tech in the conference to pull some academic weight.

The numbers don't lie though.

Exactly, the numbers add up pretty clearly. Losing record vs. UGA in all of their sports except one.

Over 20 places behind UGA in every Director's Cup since its inception.

Numbers.

Fwiw, we are fourth in National Championships out of all SEC schools. I don't think anyone with a brain will want to kick us out of the SEC any time soon.

Well the responses in this thread should be epic once the dwags quit crying in their beer after losing to Michigan St.

Btw it's always a good thing to be well endowed.

Now if we could only use some of that cash to rid ourselves of our current basketball coach as well as the idiotic athletic director who gave him an extension and reset the buyout in the process but I digress.

You're comparing apples to tires. Might as well compare UGA to Boise, why not? They play in different conferences just like UGA and tech do. You fricking idiot.

Why don't you compare how UGA does against tech head to head in sports and get back to us.

Why don't you stick to the parameters of the thread?

Shiny hook. Should get a few bites with this one.

By the way, this "little brother" school you speak of took your Tigers for an old fashioned trip to the woodshed. How about you respond when you actually score a point against UGA. Or even better, maybe cross the 30 yard line first. It's been awhile.

Korin, I know you're just looking to rile the Dawg fans (successfully, I'll admit ) but Georgia Tech has the same number of NCAA probations in the last 10 years as they do wins over UGA in football over the past 14 years. Them winning a shitty ACC division from time to time means nothing.

Over the past 50 years their football series with Duke is more competitive than their football series with UGA.

The last decade they won against UGA was the 50s. It's not competitive.

They're better in basketball than us historically, I'm hopeful that changes but I can't ignore that fact.

We own the series lead in baseball and have more national championships and more CWS appearances.

Every other sport is a complete bloodbath and that is why they are so far behind us every year in the Director's Cup.
