I can't find anything about him graduating from state other than his bio appearing on yalls alumni page which says he went to SUNY Cortland for undergrad and Syracuse for his masters.

Edit: He spoke at a MSU alumni function and that is his bio that was on the online schedule. It's one of the first results when you google him. It does make it look like hes an alumni because of where it's found.
