From VQ it sounds like 4* Austin Kendall is looking around and there will soon be a mutual parting of ways.
Thinking seems to be that 4* Jarrett Guarantano is likely to commit soon as his replacement LINK

We need a QB every class. Jennings likely moves to defense and one of Jones or Dormady likely transfer after a year or two.
Really need to balance out these QB classes better. We only have 1 left from Butch's first two classes.

Hmm, not sure how I feel about this. Kendall has a big time arm but I can't help but think JG is the better fit for this offense.

Did Jarrett name UT his leader or something? Where is the optimism? I see nothing on 247.

Things have really just started heating up between Tennessee and JG the past couple of weeks. He's coming back down for another visit to Knoxville in two weeks. Butch and Guarantano's dad also go way back and has strong ties to Jones. Also, JG and parents really like Tennessee's new OC Mike Debord.
Guarantano was DeBord's first phone call when he was hired. Volquest guys are saying that Guarantano could possibly do something if the visit goes as well as the last one.

Kendall has been looking since Bajakian left. He's not getting cut. If he's gonna look around, UT is gonna start vetting a suitable replacement, which is the smart thing to do.

He is a Rutger's legacy and is looking hard at them. He is also on the top of Ohio State's QB board. I don't think he would spend so much time looking at those 2 and taking visits and then rush in to a commitment to Tennessee. Not saying it won't happened at some point, just don't expect it to happen quickly if UT is indeed the school.

Kendall's brother is walk on at UK. Kendall visited Lexington 10 days ago... Sounds like he is interested in Kentucky.
