Maybe scoring system has changed, but I took it in 1978. My GT score was like a 130 out of a possible 140. It was broken down into other scores too, and my scores in the other parts were slightly lower.

I moved to Canada to avoid military service and did not take the ASVAB.

Me too. It's been 6 years and I didn't go through with joining the military. But it was high enough that at the end of MEPS when they take you in an office by yourself and look at your file the officer said "You have a high enough ASVAB score to do any job in the military you want, why the frick are you signed up to be a machine gunner?"

It's the test given by the military, to gauge a person's potential in different vocations.

I dont remember my exact number 95+, but it was enough that the navy/army/AF kept calling me about enlisted. I finally scared off a navy recruiter when I said, so you want me to be in charge of a nuclear missle, KOOL. After that they stopped calling me for some reason, lol. Funny thing is now I work on an AF base lol.

No clue, but I do remember getting inundated with calls from military recruiters soon after I took it.

High enough to realize I was too smart to join the military.

I scored pretty ridiculously high on both the ASVAB and the AFOQT, but I honestly don't remember either score specifically

Have no clue what my numerical score was, but the Navy kept sending me stuff and calling me about their nuclear program after I took it.

EDIT: I'm not even sure if I took it? Was it a requirement?

It's a test recruiters give you so they can make you think you scored off the charts and will have an opportunity to do anything you want in the military just to get you to join.

Ding ding ding.

Test was ridiculously easy. After the excitement of "I blew everyone away!" wears off, (if you're smart) you realize either one of two things is going on: either you're about to enroll in an organization where everyone is way dumber than you, or you were set up to be made to feel like you're special. And if you had already taken the ACT or SAT, you have a good idea if everyone is way dumber than you or not.

I scored in the 130's. I had a brainiac FDC Sgt who actually scored a bit higher than me. He refused the MECP program that I recommended him for because he was "perfectly fine being a technician and not a leader".
