scary thought du jour,, UK may have the Easts best QB

what his name? knowles or towels or something may actually be the Easts QB leader.
Along with Mauk and Dobbs, there are practically no known quantities at QB for the East. Not really a good sign for the East in general I guess, though Mizzou's backup-backup QB could still start for LSU.. (there is that)
Mauk was clearly the biggest disappointment from the hype quotient, but as bad as he was at times, he never actually threw the game for his team. His struggles at scrambling remain his bugaboo. But by the end of the season, vs Arky he at least showed some notable improvement, where his passing led to a couple of scores.
Dobbs seems like he is a lot of the same thing, were he can be good enough but really needs his team to play well around him. Given the Butchcessing going on there should be some talent for that to happen.
While UGA throws a rook that only needs to hand off well, and Vandy and Fl are looking for a miracle, it looks like another year of East as whipping boy on the horizon.
What happened to USC? Even the OBC doesn't know!

All I know is the worst QB in the East is whoever Mason decides to play each week.

When Towles is on, he is very very dangerous. He looked really good against State, South Carolina and Florida. If he can get better at decision making, he could be the best QB in the SEC his senior year.

Dobbs needs to get more consistent and more accurate with his deep ball. If he does he'll be an All SEC QB two years in a row.

He's the best returning QB. No doubt.

Towles could actually not end up the starter in the fall if Barker performs well in practice. And can keep out of trouble off the field. Both are good QBs though who should have some better support along the offensive line.

Yeah, Barker doesn't seem to have a lot of social smarts. Shooting guns on campus and getting into fights in bars promises a short college career. Towles may not have much competition from him after all.

This is my thought too. Barker has two strikes against him, a 3rd and he's done, it's over. I've very disappointed in him.

In the same way that Bo was the "best quarterback in the SEC" after 4 games or actually the best quarterback after a full season?
