This sucks. He seemed like a good kid and I thought he was going to do well at UF.

So sad. Suicide isn't talked about enough in this country. A permanent solution to a temporary problem.

My condolences to those who knew him.

Damn it. This shite literally makes me cry. 22 years old and seemingly a good life, yet he was so unhappy he felt no other choice but to take his own life. May he rest in peace...

Depression as well.

It's sad. There's a lot of outpouring from former teammates. Just wish he heard how much he was appreciated by them.

The only time "RIP" would be inappropriate is if you're talking about an awful person, like Hitler or Jeffrey Dahmer.
RIP is completely meaningless no matter what.

I guess saying "please" and "thank you" are just meaningless words too

RIP is simply a term of endearment. Of hoping someone finds peace beyond this mortal coil. How awful

I had read the Gainesville Sun that he had passed away. I had a step brother I grew up with who ten days younger than me..he took his life at 25 and a really close friend who was like a brother that ended his life at 31. I have spend many a night wondering if I could have done something. My close friend had just ended (or she did)a bad relationship...he was in Atlanta and was returning to Tampa...several of us close friends tried to cheer him and we planning on going fishing...etc etc. I think the depression is so overwhelming that they cant see over the wall.

God Bless you Chris!

I read that earlier this morn. Terrible to hear. I cant imagine someones life being so bad they decide to take it. Mental illness is a very real thing, this country needs to wake up and realize that and do something about it. It is always the last item on states agendas, and the first item when they are doing cuts in the budget. But its a very sad/scary thing that can hit anyone at anytime.
