The writing is on the wall. In the Michigan State/Wisconsin game on CBS this afternoon, they made the case for 8(!) B1G tournament teams, and referenced the weakness of conferences like the SEC, even though #3-#8 are comparable to Ole Miss, LSU, UGA and TAMU. Yesterday, espn national college columnist says Arky, the #2 ranked SEC team, "doesn't deserve to be in the top 25." Despite SEC basketball being very solid this year and deserving of 6 entries, I'm suspecting 3-4 is what we will get.

The SEC is shite dude. Because 3-8 are equal doesn't mean they should all get in, it just means the SEC is shite

Be happy.

More B1G teams in the NCAA tourney will just make it that much easier for Kentucky to win it all.

Pretty much. It's Jeff Goodman. No one gives a shite what he says.

The only team I see that could fall off the bubble is A&M and unfortunately it has to do with Top 50 wins. They need teams like BYU to lay down to teams like Gonzaga instead of beating them from here on out. SEC gets at least 5 in.

The SEC also needs at large teams to win their conference tournaments.

Media definitely influences the selection committees. Last football season, the B1G was out of contention by midseason. We all knew the SEC would whittle itself down, but most people expected there to be a Big 12 team in the mix.

I think these guys are off-base, though. Kentucky has established itself as the class of this season, and LSU, A&M and Ole Miss all gave them a good fight (and are approaching/at 20 wins). They all, and Arkansas, could match up well with teams currently ranked.

There's a difference in media guys as a whole shitting on the conference vs. a hack writer or some B1G homers during a B1G broadcast.

For the large part I have yet to see a legitimate bracket projection that doesn't have at least 5 SEC teams in. Lunardi being one of those and he's pretty well the standard for media.

Agreed.

SEC is getting better as a whole. Just bc there is a big gap between KY and the rest, doesn't mean the league sucks balls like usual.

then why the hell are you in this thread? To make an arse of yourself?

This added nothing to the discussion and makes those who follow Auburn hoops and SEC basketball look like shite.

Well shite after what UK did to Kansas then no one in the Big12 should get in by his logic. I can't believe the love PAC12 is getting. Arizona and Utah are legit in my eyes but after that I don't see much other than maybe Oregon getting hot the last month.

LSU almost beat Kentucky and did beat WVU on the road. Kentucly skullfricked pretty every other conference but the SEC.

Point is, the SEC is just as deserving than other conferences...especially when Michigan State and Michigan suck like this year.
